2012 CFDA Awards

Last night the CFDA Awards 2012 were held in New York's Lincoln Center. These awards are like the Oscars for fashion. Every year the Council of Fashion Designers of America honor different American designers for the work they did the past year. This year Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen took home the award for Womenswear Designer of the Year for their label The Row. More winners were Billy Reid for Menswear Designer of the year: Billy Reid and Reed Krakoff can call himself the Accessories Designer of the Year. The Swarovski Award for Emerging Talent in Womenswear Design went to Joseph Altuzarra, the Swarovski Award for Emerging Talent in Menswear Design to Phillip Lim and at last the Swarovski Award for Emerging Talent in Accessory Design went to Tabitha Simmons.
